Tideschart site (https://www.tideschart.com/)

Post by nossis »

Hello There,
Ryan Blundell reached out to me from Tideschart about my old Port Hedland weather site and so I thought, I would put this up here as well.
https://www.tideschart.com/
I added a link on my site for Fremantle, nearby port to me.
As he states on the site, tides for some of the more faraway places.
Enjoy.

I have tide charts on my site which I've used for years, originally distributed with Weather Display and uses freely available tide data from a UK university. It enables me to have 20 days tide times and the ability to obtain any date for a year ahead. The program needs to be run under Windows or under Wine on Linux (which is what I do) to create a new table one per day. Mine is customised to align as closely as possible to official UK data but I do aheva warning about not using it for any critical nautical operations. You can see it at https://www.stella-maris.org.uk/CumulusMX/tides.phtml.

I use the one that Mark developed that uses the Admiralty Tide Charts, you just need a free login.

https://www.dmjsystems.co.uk/weatherbos/index.php scroll down to the bottom and if you need the source I have it and I think it is on Mark's site.

I was happy to have just a few days originally but being at a holiday destination and getting a number of requests for tides a long way ahead from schools wanting to plan day trips I decided to have my current scheme. None of the official sites provide this information months ahead.
