Hans your website dashboard shows the solution.
I know, that is beta 2 already, not yet available elsewhere

@Andy: here is beta2 (binaries only) for you with the solar unit fixed.
Please note that you need to modify or remove the language string for YSESYaxis as strings do not automatically get their defaults replaced.
A beta 3 with the first complete diary (and possibly other changes/fixes) will appear later in its own thread.
What you see on my site is a version with the most recent mods. It may contain any change as I don't setup a separate testmachine for utils anymore (atm) but is not necessarily ready for release so if you see useful changes please be patient, they will appear eventually in a release.
The rapid fire releases which I did in the covid period with versions before v6 and v7 - a release every few days - are a thing of the past. They were growing pains of a newly build utility which needed to be in the field. Unless disaster strikes the number of releases will be much lower now with dotnet, CMX and CUtils being much more stabilised. New modules like
Diary and smaller additions like the
frost days graph will become rarer. Anyway, a request release like this one is always a possibility
If any issue let me know.

Hi Hans
I think that the version you set is still b1 rather than b2 since on a careful download and install there seemed to be no changes on the site. I did see your comment about the axis in the language file and changed the description to W/m2. However the home page solar panel remains unchanged.

Hi Hans
That was my point, I ran the update again with the same results, the log file is attached.

The logfile says:
Code: Select all
2024-10-05 08:16:02.061 CumulusUtils version: 7.2.0 beta 1
So you did not update the binaries correctly. I checked the zip and the files are from this morning 4h33, I run the same executable and I have beta 2. So as there is no serious error in the logfile you must check your update copy of files.
Otherwise I have to doubt the zipfile creation. And that would be strange.
[EDIT:] and I made a new extraction from the zip and copied that to my operational bin resulting in a beta 2 run. I regard this as proof you have the correct executable.

Yes, it's strangely recognisable and inexplicable

Andy - I forget, are you the one running this on their synology nas?

OK. I created a totally new zip with the same files but with a different method. Compression is somewhat different and thus filesize.
Could you both try this one please?

Hi Hans
Sorry for the problems I have caused you, when I reloaded the totally new version, I got the same error which caused me to reread your instructions and found that the download should have been put in the /bin file and not just in the /utils file
As ever the problem is in the chair not in the computer!!
The solar radiation panel units now look good as do the solar charts and the dust charts which I amended the axis names in the CUstringsEN.ini file.
Thanks for your patience and help.
Also I am only using a RPi V3 and not a NAS system, I think I could really wreck things with that.

@Andy: OK, thanks
@Nossie: that gets us back to the drawing board I guess.
