realtime.txt upload problem
In the last day a problem has popped up where realtime.txt has stopped being uploaded from CumulusMX b.4027 to my Saratoga Website.
This is what I have in the Extra Web Files setup (indicated with red). The MXDiags file where this problem commenced, as far as I can tell, is attached.
The problem does not seem to affect CumulusMX websites but only the Saratoga (https://www.kstwx.net/index.php) and pwsWD site (https://kstwx.net/pwsWD/index.php).
Please help.

Re: realtime.txt upload problem
Further to my previous post, I have manually uploaded realtime.txt around 10:15pm (local) in an effort to present a somewhat updated picture of the weather here.

It says:
So there appears to be an issue with your un/pw.
Is the encryption still OK? E.g. is the file UniqueId.txt still present? Are your credentials in the config still OK?

Re: realtime.txt upload problem
Hi,
Strange that the other files are being FTP. https://www.kstwx.net/wxstatus.php
Have you tried to have the CMX Internet Settings > Interval Configuration > Realtime Settings > Upload instead of the Extra web files?
From your screen capture both would go to the same remote location.
Enjoy,
Paul

Re: realtime.txt upload problem
Here is a zip of the latest file in my MX Diags folder. The upload process did not work for some time but then is OK. Seems to be working OK at 0735 local Saturday. UniqueId.txt is in place.
Can anyone see what is going on? Maybe it is a case of wait and see?

Re: realtime.txt upload problem
But I presume you have the standard upload settings in the Internet settings and since this is an identical upload they will be clashing with each other. Why do you need it?

Now it says something different:griffo42 wrote: ↑Fri 16 Aug 2024 9:37 pm Here is a zip of the latest file in my MX Diags folder. The upload process did not work for some time but then is OK. Seems to be working OK at 0735 local Saturday. UniqueId.txt is in place.

Deactivate the extra webfile.
See what it does then.
[EDIT]: and btw what is the difference between the public_html, public_html/pwsWD/ and public_html/cumx/ ? Do you have three CMX instances running or do you serve the realtime files from one location. If so, which ?

Re: realtime.txt upload problem
And tbh. I just checked all three realtime files on all three sites and they are updating correctly every 30 seconds.
So afaiac: there is no issue. No idea where those errors come from but the files are updating OK atm.

Re: realtime.txt upload problem
Thanks everyone for your replies. It is working properly now. The reason is entirely unknown to me ~ it just got it right with no intervention or action by me.
The extra web files use is to get the data into my Saratoga and pwsWD installations - CUMX happens in its own right as programmed by Mark. If there is another way that I could use to get the data into the non-CUMX installations I would be pleased to know.

Re: realtime.txt upload problem
No, I think you are OK as it is.
Glad it solved itself.
