Can't upgrade to ver. 4

Hi
I can’t upgrade to ver. 4 because I run da-dk and have
Directory separator=[\] Decimal separator=[,] List separator=[;]
Date separator=[-] Time separator=[:]
And I can’t convert the dayfile file to work in ver. 4 with MigrateData3to4
My dayfile file is from 2012 to today, there was some error in the dayfile file but
I have make the dayfile file 100% ok now and this not help to convert to ver. 4
I lose 50% of the lines and the CreateMissing don’t help
what can I do?

Reload Dayfile
Force a reload of the Dayfile back into CMX memory
You may want to do this if you have bulk edited the dayfile with Cumulus running and do not want to restart it to perform the reload.

Stick with version 3 for the moment, there is an update to Version 4 in the pipeline and it has a new version of the MigrateData3to4 program that should fix problems with the Scandinavian locale.

You never know Mark may want you to test his new version with your data!!

I have ver 4.1.1 working fine with windows 10-Vantage Pro 2. When I went to try the latest version 4.1.2 MX crashes when started. I have gone back to 4.1.1 but any ideas what to try ?

Could you zip the MXdiags log file that covers the period of the crash and attach to a reply to this topic, please? Also screenshots of error messages you may have seen.

There may still be something in the MXdiags files: 20240802-xxxxxx and the ServiceConsoleLog so zip and attach these if they are created.

Often the cause of CumulusMX not starting is when another instance of CumulusMX is already running. Check to make sure there is no other instance started. There is a setting in CumulusMX were you can over-ride a second instance:

  [   ]  Stop second instance
         Prevent multiple instances of Cumulus running. This setting requires a restart to take effect

If I recall correctly it defaults to Enable. With CumulusMX running you can untick it to disable.

How are you starting it? Double clicking from Explorer?

You need to start a cmd prompt and run it from there, you will then see any error messages.

Looking at the MXdiags it says I am missing uniqueID. I can't seem to find this in my4.1.1 or the 4.1.2.

UniqueId.txt is a file in the root CumulusMX folder. You need to copy it to any new v4 installations
