duplicate entry in day file every 3 days

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

duplicate entry in day file every 3 days

Post by Carbonara »

Hi, I have a problem on a Davis Vantage Vue with console and datalogger. Every 3 days exactly a duplicate record is written into dayfile at midnight. Have you ever had a similar problem?

One possible reason causing this kind of issues are scheduled tasks via crontab. If you have scheduled reboot, scheduled stop/start of Cumulus, or a scheduled backup routine, make sure that hey are not run at midnight or exact full hour.

I agree with you, I took a look in crontab and I had a command set at midnight that was annoying. With over 60 stations online, unfortunately I didn't remember having it. Thank you for your advice
