Anyone using HostEurope?
Hello again, is anyone here using Hosteurope as ISP? They have cutted "normal" FTP so I am forced to use FTPS with my webhosting package. I can upload via a third party App (Transmit), but I am not able to upload any file with CMX. So if there is someone here using HostEurope as well, please provide me with info what settings to use with CMX. I am using MacOS Sonoma 14.5 and CMX V401B4023. Thanks in advance!

Re: Anyone using HostEurope?
I do not use your hosting company but CMX does support FTPS and SFTP as well as PHP upload which is what I use (used FTPS in the past), so I'm surprised that you are unable to use FTPS. You may need to ask your host exactly how to configure FTPS on their system.

Re: Anyone using HostEurope?
The strange thing is that I am using exact the same settings as used in Transmit (Hostname, FTP Port, Remote Directory, Username, Password) but no single file is uploaded to the webspace. On the other side using Transmit it is only one mouseclick to connect to the remote directory and upload things there.
Tanks for replying, Stuart - more suggestions to come?
Maybe I am endig up to contact the support of my ISP.

Re: Anyone using HostEurope?
Are you saying that the settings you are using to FTP files to your via an FTP Client (e.g. FileZilla) are the same as the ones in CumulusMX, but CumulusMX is not uploading files and your FTP Client is?
If that is the case it would suggest that your FTP Client has probably got an Auto setting which works with the ISP's FTP engine and finds the correct settings to access the Host. For instance FileZilla automatically on a new host setup sets the Encryption to "use explicit FTP over TLS if available" settings which means an FTPS connection will automatically connect as it finds an available FTP over TLS connection.
I would suggest seeing what settings your FTP client is using and setting the same in CumulusMX i.e. FTPS or SFTP.

Re: Anyone using HostEurope?
Thanks for all of you reading my request and trying to help me.
Yes, water01, all the settings were the same (CMX and Transmit).
At least I figuered out, that I stumbeld into a trap: I have done all things correct in the "Internet Settings" provided by CMX. Turned on "Enable Upload connections", filled in here all the parameters I was used to fill into the FTP Client and hit "Save Settings".
The trap, you know? I didn't realize the next array within this section, it is called "Intervall Configuration". Who on earth (except you guys) is aware that after ENABLING a service you have some things more to enable.
Ok, now I have to test a bit around with the Simulator Station, and in the end I will let CMX run in addition to WeatherCat (using it since more than 10 years no). Hopefully some day there will be a data-importer for weaterh data since 2012.
So, don't be angry with me, I have learned my lesson...
Cheers, Reinhard
