Unable to post on the other forum that has WXSIM discussion, so I wondered if someone could pass it on?
WXSIM is completely underestimating the UV index here by as much as 2 points.

Re: WXSIM
The other forum is up and running OK. Anyway WXSim has two methods of getting UV data either from McMahon data (included automatically) or directly from the TEMIS website. If both are set to be obtained it mixes the DU values. Anyway TEMIS suggests for my location 6 UV index today and 5.7 for Sunday. My max today from my Ecowitt sensor said 4 UVI.
What do you have in WXSimate to obtain UV data McMahon or TEMIS. I don't think Bohler data has UV information.

Re: WXSIM
WXSIM had me down for 5 today, when it was 6. TEMIS has 5.5 tomorrow, WXSIM has 4.5.
Met Office are going for 6 - 7, I usually find there's closer to the mark with my own UV sensor.
Edit: WXSIM has done it's 11:15pm update, now going for 4.3. That'll be way off of the mark.

Re: WXSIM
I'd suggest emailing Tom about this. I don't know the accuracy of these sensors especially my Ecowitt one.

Re: WXSIM
The Ecowitt does not use a UV sensor, it doesn't even have a proper solar sensor. It has a lux sensor which is converted in software to solar (reasonably ok), but then just divides the lux the by a constant number to guess the UV.
A real UV sensor would add significantly to the price. I believe they are working on a separate UV sensor. They may be able to produce one at a significant lower price point than say Davis - here's hoping.
