Hi Mark,
I spoke to my son who is a software engineer working in the US and he told me the solution.
Firstly alter the Privacy & Security setting as below - Next -

Firstly alter the Privacy & Security setting as below - Next -
- Using Search, locate the file (libe_sqlite3.dylib) in Finder (in my case this was in Cumulus/runtimes/osx-x64/native)
- Mouse Right click on the file and select [Open]
- Follow the prompts to allow the file to open

Re: Version 4
Upgraded to version 4 on 15th May - all seemed well but I now understand the website hasn't updated since!
I use my own web version and it's years since that was developed - brain has forgotten what was done and how, but I can't, at the moment, work out why there are no files being ftp'd to the server. But I'll persevere.
Error log shows repeated realtime upload errors without being too specific....
2024-05-26 07:58:47 - Realtime[144]: Error during realtime upload. - One or more errors occurred. (Value cannot be null. (Parameter 'logger'))

Re: Version 4
Is it worth noting the solution rather than "Note there is no support for Cumulus MX on MacOS Catalina or later as Apple have enforced signing and notarization for this version of the OS."? I am sure other Mac users must come across the same problem.GWCTas wrote: ↑Sat 25 May 2024 4:03 am Hi Mark,

Re: Version 4
I wonder if this is a one time operation and what happens on a reboot? Many people have their PCs set to boot after a power failure so it came come back unattended. If this is a one time thing that'll be fine if not it is not a complete solution. I do not have a Mac and so can't check.GWCTas wrote: ↑Mon 27 May 2024 1:43 amIs it worth noting the solution rather than "Note there is no support for Cumulus MX on MacOS Catalina or later as Apple have enforced signing and notarization for this version of the OS."? Re: Version 4
I checked with my son (who is also Stuart), and he advised that it is a one-time operation. You are giving permission to run the unsigned binary.

Re: Version 4
Hi,
(New CumulusMX user here from Australia- I’ve been running it on an old iMac with Catalina macOS for a month or so now...)
Just writing to say thank you for supplying the info contained in this thread… I may have given up with my install if I hadn’t found this first!
Just thought I’d share this article I found today from Apple Support regarding their Gatekeeper Technology for macOS. This explains why some un-notarised software packages sometimes won’t run in the first instance. Plus also how to get around the blockage if you’re happy that they’re trustworthy! It was written only a few weeks ago (a day or two after I installed mine!) and it’s nice to hear that Apple themselves also confirm everything that was discussed here.

(Hoping this helps out other Mac users wanting to run CMX in some small way!)
Cheers,
Shady
