Cutils v7 migration

Post by Nossie »

Hi,

I seem to have bigger problems than just a few custom charts?

I've attached the logs :-/ not everything seems to be generating.

I've wiped all logs, restarted and ran utils once... I'll leave it a few hours and then upload those specific logs with no other changes.

I looked at your site and I am not sure what is the issue here.
It seems like Cutils users have jQuery problems where javascript breaks at all kind of weird points. So far I can't find the error and it seems that some restarts of the CMX machine may help.

I am looking into this after Leo and Paul had a similar issue but it did not get me anywhere so far. The problem seems to disappear when you change the order of things.

That is weird. But if it is weird like this, you better start posting the log, the CutilsCharts.def and anything else you think is relevant ;)

So I copied those over and everything is working much better. - something is wrong with the reports so that's what I'm looking into.

does it not generate default def files or?

Both the charts and menu def files are available in the distribution in some default version which should work out of the box when copied to the operational directory having the official names.

It is an intentional manual operation so users are aware that these are user configurable files.
Using only the distribution files is not advised (certainly not for the menu file)

So: no, nothing is generated because that would move the user away from the possibilities which can be configured.

The config seems OK and the system works: there is a chart with values. It seems only the realtime does not show. I assume it is a config error somewhere. Could you check your extrasensorsrealtime.txt file and post it here?

Thnx. Obviously most values are not replaced. Can you post the original, unprocessed file (find it in the utils directory).

OK... now it is clear but I do not understand why the Antrobus sites do work, I assume he did not update to the latest CMX version (which removed the old webtag names with the minus).

Anyway, the webtags for the CO2 site have been changed from CO2- to CO2_ and apparently I missed to change the webtag names for te CO2 sensor in the realtime file.

I will make a new beta tomorrow, that's what beta's are for ;)

The v7 home page has [User] [NL] and [Map] tabs. I want to edit these and have renamed MAP and started to edit the content in CUsermenu-example.txt. Where can I remove, rename and edit the User and NL tabs?
