AirLink stopped reporting

Post by Mapantz »

Is anyone else getting these notifications?

I've had quite a lot in the past few days, but it's still online.

Hi,
No, not getting any messages for my AirLink and it seems to be working fine..
Your AirLink data shows on the WL App but can't tell exactly what the latest time - graphs on your WL.com shows 4:30 pm at 5:01 your time.
My data on WL.com is up to date and shows on the WL App and the graphs on WL.com is 1:00 pm at our 1:00 pm time (we are UTC -4).

Enjoy,
Paul

Mines working fine too. Maybe interference from a neighbours WiFi signal perhaps?

It never went offline though.

I checked my SQL database, and there was nothing missing.

Just a few days ago, I got a emails to say it went offline at like 3:30pm and didn't resume until 5 hours later. The one today was around an hour.

The graphs on weatherlink.com show no missing data.

They done this about a month ago too as far as i can remember. then Davis sent out emails saying it was a mistake.

perhaps they have the same issue again with weatherlink.com the message i got was at the end of january.
Dear User,

You may have received emails recently declaring that your weather station was offline. This is not true.

A recent software update caused these outage emails to be sent out by mistake. This started Thursday afternoon, Pacific time and was fixed Friday morning, 9 am Pacific time.

You should not receive any more false outage emails. Please feel free to ignore the outage emails sent in the time frame listed above.

If you have any concerns about whether your weather station is online please check current and historic data on your weatherlink.com page.

Our sincerest apologies for the confusion,

-Your AEM/Davis Support Team

only other thing i can think of is maybe water ingress in the board itself. have you had a look inside the housing recently?

Just got another email to say my AirLink has stopped reporting data.

Although I am still logging data absolutely fine, there's an underlying issue with the AirLink. The graphs look odd..

Wi-Fi on the AirLink is pure crap, but I think the actual sensor is dying. Davis products overall are just crap.

The notifications in March was down to Davis's error and not due to any corrosion on the PCB boards of our Airlink. The wifi transmission of the Airlink is pretty bad tbh.

Yes I know but i was just going to see if Davis did anything about it? Ovs there issues as this shouldn't have corrosion on the board because it was fitted correctly

best take it up with your supplier or Davis themselves. show them your findings along with the rest of us. if it is a known issue with Davis or other users, perhaps more can get more people involved, however this thread in Made in March was to was due to email notifications that went out in error by weatherlink.com nothing was wrong with any of our AirLink devices. Davis fixed the notification error and the emails stopped.

I'm sorry I just dont see the connection between this thread and a corroded Airlink PCB.
