Downloading from base unit

Post by malc-c »

Hi,

For some reason this evening Cumulus stopped working whilst connected to the PC. The result was a lot of graphs with flat lines from arond 17:30.

I checked the janlog file and sure enough there were loads of entries after 17:30 all with the same data. No problem I though, simply close the application, edit the log file to remove the entries and then re-launch so it downloads all the data from the base using again... however that doesn't appear to of worked. I don't get flat lines, but a straight line between the current readings and the last one ta 17:30.

I thought that Cumulus didn't clear data from the base unit (WH1081) so it would read all the data stored again. Can anyone suggest a way to resolve this issue ?
Regards

It doesn't clear it, but it already knows what it has downloaded

* Close down Cumulus
* take a backup of the Cumulus folder just in case it all goes wrong
* edit today.ini
* look for the Timestamp and change it back to the start of your blank
* edit your log files to remove the data after the time stamp you have just set
* Start Cumulus

- or go to your \cumulus\backup folder, select a backup (their names are date/time), copy its files to \data and restart cumulus.

Strangely, I tried this (having copied the current data folder to the desktop as back up first) and it still didn't work. It was Davids tip to reset the time stamp that pulled the data through
