Bouncycastle.crypto

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Bouncycastle.crypto

Post by gorleston »

Excuse my ignorance and general lack of technical know how.

I have just installed the latest Raspberry Pi image file of CumulusMX -- Raspberry Pi Image for Cumulus MX 3.26.0 x64

And found it contains two files: Bouncycastle.crypto and Bouncycastle.cryptography
Two questions:
Why?
What for?

Many thanks in advance

Seems to be related to email alerts (smtp encryption) also.

Well, don't be too quick, let's wait for Mark.

I agree with the guys above that that must be an area where it is used, but in the code I find no reference to the Bouncy dll's.
So my prime assumption is that they are a leftover of previous use.
