:shock:

I've moved the utils folder, recreated it and put in the stock files, restarted cumulus and just left it to run for now - if any of this works I'll slowly slide in the customer files.

thanks

if I move the cutils.ini config file - will cutil recreate it with default values?

I think I'm going to do that next - then manually update the config and see what happens.

Yes

At least, redo the copy of the binaries (bin directory) from the distribution to your installation before continuing: the fact that it creates a timeseries for the lightning sensor with v6.23.1 really worries me.

For the rest: that seems a good idea.

Hi Hans,

So I've moved the utils folder and replaced it - I've removed the cumulusutils.ini and regenerated it.

I then went back and added the extra sensors

Code: Select all

[ExtraSensors]
ExtraSensors=true
ParticipatesSensorCommunity=true
ExternalExtraSensors=
UserModificationExtraSensorCharts=false
ExtraTemp=1,2,3,4,5
ExtraHum=1,3,5
ExtraDP=1,3,5
SoilTemp=1
SoilMoisture=1,2,3
AirQuality=
UserTemp=
LeafTemp=
LeafWetness=1
SoilTemperature=1
CO2=1
LightningSensor=false
CleanupExtraSensorslog=false
the sensors are updating but nothing is being charted -- I feel like I've been here before and from this point may have broke something - do you mind having a wee check through everything and seeing if there is anything obvious? cheers.

The most obvious is that apparently you do not have a CUtilsCharts.def (to which the Extra Sensor charts are added).
I suggest you take the CutilsCharts-default-for-use.def from the distribution and copy that to CutilsCharts.def in the utils-directory.

Then rerun CUtils with command website.

Could you post the corresponding logfile (level info !!) for that CUtils website command?

sorry does that look like this one?

Yes, that should be the one.

It shows that you still have your upload not on.
Please set section [FTP site] the parameter DoUploadFTP=true and run again.
Please post the logfile again.

And maybe it is an idea to make a 'sheet of notes at re-install' ;)

I could take some notes - but I'm doing the very basic to get back to something working so - baby steps.

OK.

Now, it seems to work and we now see if the UserAskedData does things correct iso of breaking off every hour.
The moment of truth. First step is OK.

I assume the timing parameters are still 1 mins/15 mins?

And the crontab has not changed and is like earlier in this thread?

I also see you changed something to the sensor array (is that the strange peak I see?): you now have wind!

It does an incremental upload but uses the incremental as a full new file.

Did you - when updating CMX - also update the upload.php on the server?
If not, could you please do that? In CMX webfiles directory you will find the upload.php which you need to upload to the webroot.
Make sure you first have the $secret set cotrrectly.

NOTE: this is a CMX thing, nothing to do with CUtils.

That is an errrr anomaly - I bought a new sensor expecting to use it inside, and it was one of the ones that only does the outside - so it overwrote my current sensor / weather station until I noticed and removed :oops:

uploaded upload.php and changed the code.
