Yes, a Happy New Year from where I am as well.
Hopefully with a lot of nice weather but a little less rain and a little less war please!

Thanks for the flowers @Nossie, I understand CMX/CUtils has contributed its part here. Very nice to see one.

I have heat pump and electric heating in my 90’s house, about 120kWh/day at these temperatures, that makes about 25€/day at my current fixed contract rate.

Solar panels don't help when you need them most :?

”Luckily” today is much colder than average winter day, but on the other hand my all time lowest record is -36.1C from 18th February 2011.

WOW - remind me to never complain about my heating costs again :o question @Samis if you don't mind, is that an air source or ground source heatpump?

Quite an old (~10 years) Toshiba air sourced pump, newer models would give more power and efficiency on coldest days. Of course at these temperatures heated floors and some radiators are needed as supplement for the heat pump.

Happy New Year everyone. Thanks for the support last year, long may it continue.
I'd echo Han's request for a little less war in the world this year please.

Happy New Year everyone and I think Mark I would speak for everyone in that we should be thanking you, not you us!!

As to a "little less war" I would agree but it requires men to temper their religious beliefs as that is why 99% of wars start. Religion has a lot to answer for!!
