Yes I did reset the station, just thought It would be a good idea to change the batteries just in case it was sending bad data or something.

We have seen quite a few cases where 'funny' readings were caused by batteries running low.
Too bad the Fine Offset stations do not report battery status.
Mine does. It shows a flashing battery icon with "Tx" next to it on the console accompanied by a beeping sound. That is how I knew my transmitter batteries needed changing. My AWS is a WH1081PC from Maplins last February. It is the non-radio-controlled clock model.

Thanks Gina, I was not aware of that.
Whereabouts on the console screen did that icon show up?

Somewhere near the middle of the temperature/humidity section as I recall (top left section). It doesn't show at all when the batteries are OK.

If anyone is curious to what happens just before your rain gauge is on its way out this is what happened to me, the rain gauge started producing false rain readings (just about everyday) then next time it actually rained there was no rain readings.

I have a replacement rain gauge on the way.

Sorry Steve for the big fuss, after all that my rain gauge was on its last days.
