I am currently working on a facebook app /page

It uses a few simple cumulus processed files uploaded to MY web server
and standard facebook FBML (facebook mark up language)
Once once i have all the tabs basically working I will post the code and intructions in the wiki
In the meantime i am open to suggestion as to anything I can squeeze out of facebook and cumulus

Re: Facebook
Good work -- While I personally do not see why I would FB my weather data, I know there is a market for it.

Re: Facebook
very rough, but had a few people ask about it, and i am sure i have forgotten a stage or two
add the "developer" app to your facebook account
and create a FBML app
(a FBML app collects data via HTTP from a external webserver, processes some FBML tags and displays it in the facebook page)
set the canvas url to a web site you will use to host your bits from.
the cavnas url should end in a / is a folder on your web site so the default.htm template file must become a default doc on the web server folder
my templates files are here http://wx.species5618.net/fb/fb.zip
i am using cumulus to process the template files and upload to my web site as .asp files (windows host) , facebook in FBML mode does a HTTP POST as it can pass some FB data into a larger, more intelligent app, and a few webservers seem to get upset at getting html via HTTP POST
in the template files replace YOURAPP with the name of your facebook app
and XXXXXXXXXX with the "Application ID" of your face book app (available from you facebook developer profile)
as it is , the "allow application" in facebook is not required, as i do little integration, but that means i cant track users, so i am looking to change that.
enjoy

Re: Facebook
Very cool! I think this would be a great way to promote your weather station / website to people in your area that use facebook. Seems like just about everyone has a facebook account nowadays.
