Would there be a way to create a section on this forum that would simply be a place to get the latest downloads for all things Cumulus? ie:The latest Widget, the latest addon, the latest Cumulus update, any new addon or program developed by the great people on this forum. Right now you need to look thru the various topics, some several pages long in order to find the latest update for these things. If just the download files could be in one place I think it would benefit all. Just my humble opinion. Thanks.

Re: A request
It occasionally occurs to me that lots of good "third party" stuff gets lost or hidden. My downloads are easy to find - well I hope so anyway, I go to a lot of trouble every time I do a release - but no-one else really has anywhere "fixed" for their download links (apart from people like Kevin, for example). I have "stickied" a few things, but there's still a lot of stuff that I haven't. I think a page in the wiki would be best, because then the author of an item could update it themselves.

Re: A request
Thats a good idea! I too thought it would be a good idea to group all the downloads together somewhere easly to find them all and your suggestion sounds perfect!
Obvious example is the Windows Desktop Gadget!

Re: A request
Actually, maybe it would be simpler if I just expanded my downloads page. I've started doing it (I've added the Cumulus alpha and beta stuff): http://sandaysoft.com/downloads
I was about to add Ib's gadget, then I spotted that it's a forum upload and wondered whether that would be a problem. I guess not...?
I'll add some more tomorrow.

A very good idea and quickly implemented too! It will be very easy now to find all the downloads and what's more the latest versions of them, looks very smart too. Speaking as a graphic designer.

Re: A request
I'm now thinking the best way to do this for 3rd party stuff will be to put links to the relevant forum thread (unless they already have their own web site).

Re: A request
That is most likely the best way to go.
It is quite common to have a posting announcing a "thing", with current information contained in the first posting. This allows for discussion of the "thing" for support like issues.
When there is an update, new download area, enhancements etc... the poster of the original thread just updated the first posting to have that new info.
This makes it easy to always know what is current and where to find it, and allows for discussion as people have issues, questions or suggestions about the "thing".

Re: A request
Wiki?
http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Category:AddOns
Then just have a topic announcing, and pointing to the Wiki article. The download can be hosted anywhere (wiki, users web site, etc) but all the addons are together.
I think it would be useful to have a Forum on the board specifically for questions/support relating to 3rd Party (Non Steve stuff)

Re: A request
I think we'll go with expanding the 'downloads' page for now - since I'd already started doing that. I've added a few things; I'm sure there are more but I've got bored looking (which just shows how much we needed this).
Please let me have others to add; I need a link (to a forum thread/website/wiki article etc) and a one-line description.
