Updated cutils and modified cumulusutils.ini
Code: Select all
[MeteoCam]
CamType=EcowittHP10
MeteoCamMenu=true
added realtime to extra files - anything else I'm missing? I'm just getting a broken image - thanks!
This file must be processed and is best done so on the Interval frequency.
The user optimises the whole process by setting the camera frequency equal to the interval frequency.
I understand I can set the interval in the web file configuration - where would I set or get the frequency for the camera? thanks.

Oh - something is coming through

looks like it's working now but the broken image takes a few seconds or so to update? is it possible to use a cached image until it updates?
Other than it being dark, looks like I'm getting the image through

Given your next post I assume everything is really working
The first download takes some time apparently. There is no image caching because there is no image downloaded and stored: it is shown directly from the link on the Ecowitt server. The URL does not change as it is cached by CMX and only when it changes a new image is loaded. I am not sure that change will show a similar delay or if it will just wait until the new image is loaded until it switches.
There are still some optimisations to be done here, this beta is the primary version.

Yes, the Interval is a CMX Internet setting. The camera frequency you set on the camera setup. The only person who can do that is the owner with access to the camera.

btw: you can also set the resolution/size of the image. Maybe that has some effect on how it is shown in CUtils.

Yep all good - I've not changed any interval settings and it's working from what I can see - but sorry, where do you see the camera update frequency?
nevermind - it's on the camera IP it's - disregard this too - just being silly!
looks really good

I'd say this was successful, very well done to you and Mark for making this a possibility!

Not there. You have to log into the camera itself and then on the Local Network tab you see the frequency (camera interval):
Ah.... never mind this as well
You want things too fast

@Nossie, @mcrossley:
On my question for the Timelapse URL I had the following response:
This video is not generated on our server, it is only generated when you try to download it.
So I am afraid this won't be available in CUtils for some time (unless I assemble the timelapse myself from the individual images and I don't think I will do that).

The only change I'd suggest with this at the moment Hans is something to show or read that the image is loading? so people don't just think the link is down.

The delay has been fixed and does no longer exist (unless there is truly something wrong).
In beta 2, to be seen now on my site.
Most likely beta 2 will be the release ...

I received a new mail from Ecowitt raising some new hopes on he timelapses.
I'll communicate offline with Mark and see how far we can get.
