Possible error in mean max and min

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Possible error in mean max and min

Post by hw1958 »

Just looking at my temperature data for November.
The Year mean max and min (from the NOAA Year Report Tab) gives 11.6C and 3.8C respectively. The min seemed too low to me at first glance
Adding each days max and min value (from the NOAA Month Report Tab) gives 12.03C and 4.68C .

I assumed the monthly max and min was just calculated by summing each day and dividing by the number of days but I may be wrong.

I am using the latest version (3263). I haven't checked any previous months - yet!

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Further to this having checked the October data this seems ok.

ALso just noticed that the NOAA Monthly report for Nov rain total is 74.6mm whereas the NOAA Year report for Nov is 80.4 mm

Problem solved. There seemed to be duplicate entries in the Nov23 log.txt file in the data folder. Removed these and all now seems well !!
