CumulusMX update to 3.27.0 b3257

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

CumulusMX update to 3.27.0 b3257

Post by JUMAVISA »

Good morning, I have been using CumulusMX for a few years, currently with version 3.26.0 b3248, I updated without apparent problems to the new version 3.27.0 b3257, but I did not know how to interpret what this instruction called IMPORTANT: You must update means. the copy of upload.php on your web site with the latest version in this release.
Inside my CumulusMX in the local Webfiles folder this file "upload.php" appears but I don't know how and where to replace it on my Web server, since I can't find where it is located, I have also observed that "cumulusutils" from this installation has stopped running "website" at 00:05 every day, can you help me resolve this issue?

was the last time you updated CMX a few months ago? prior to then you would have used FTP for all transfers - but now php upload is supported.

If you never used it before - there is no need to upload or configure the file, but admittedly it does seem a lot more efficient.

this applies only if you are using this functionality
if so, then it's usually located in your web root or a subdirectory of the web root (i.e. that directory on your web host [not web server - webserver is a program handling your http/https requests 8-) - which the web server on your web hosts reads to display its content] where the CMX web files are placed and which you call in your browser: http(s)://your-domain or http(s)://your domain/your-web-root-subdirectory: e.g. http(s)//my-site/CumulusMX if you chose /CumulusMX to be the directory on your web host (root) where your CMX web files are placed).
There you have to replace an older upload.php by the new one coming with the 3257 build.
I have also observed that "cumulusutils" from this installation has stopped running "website" at 00:05 every day, can you help me resolve this issue?
Regarding CUtils:
in your local .../CumulsMX/utils/utilslog directory you will find the CUtils logfiles which should give an indication what went wrong with the Website run - could you share the latest file here ?
Best is to run the CUtils web site build manually and then post its log here if this run fails
in your local .../CumulusMX directory run CUtils in a console window (Windows or Linux, whatever your CMX installation is on) by typing

Code: Select all

./utils/bin/cumulusutils.exe Website
If you are only using the CUtils web site and not the standard CumulusMX web site, you can ignore the upload.php topic

Yes, separate the upload and CUtils topic.

What @Gyvate says: post the most recent CUtils logfile.
If it suddenly does not run anymore at 00:05 you may have to investigate your scheduler first.
