Re: meteocam suggestion HP10 Wittcam
OK... so if the camera is well configured the URL for the last image should be set automatically.
Sounds logical.

Re: meteocam suggestion HP10 Wittcam
Sooooo
Basically months ago, you guys helped me get my station working - and you told me to go fully to the api - I never got it fully working - but only recently I have discovered that where I had pathed both Cumulus.ini and Cumulusutils.ini were not saving properly or were being rewritten with old values. Hence why I was getting sporadic values. In the last few hours I've dug those out and I should be able to test.
I've reconfigured the HP2551 to run on the HTTP protocol, I've regenerated the api keys and updated the cloud options and confirmed the mac address. Extracloudsensordata is enabled too
Sorry Hans, I didn't mean you to think I was asking you to write a custom bit of code just for me, but Since Mark had added the feature, I thought it would / could be added for other Ecowitt users.
That 'Latest errors' newish feature to CMX is invaluable - it's great for quickly identifying issues.
However when I run what you ask - I get
If I understand this correctly - and for once I think I do
http://192.168.0.168:8998/api/tags/proc ... rikesToday
returns
However nothing is coming back for the camera url.

Please switch on debug and data logging, restart MX and post the MXdiags file after MX has been running for 10 minutes.

Here we go - I ran the command twice during the time also.

Re: meteocam suggestion HP10 Wittcam
Don't worry, I only write code when I can make something generic and as the Ecowitt URL for the camera is such thing for everybody who has one, I have no problem making a configurational feature out of it (if the URL works
And btw: CMX is a labyrinth of information on the configured sensors and equipment which I now have made viewable for a large part but far from 100% (e.g. the diary is still uncovered and so are the webcam URL's). So when a user comes up with a CMX thing / something I havent covered, that is fine or better: appreciated
Yes, it is.
I let Mark comment on what we see in the log, the Camera URL and how we deal with that.

Re: meteocam suggestion HP10 Wittcam
The thing regarding the weathercam?
That's my current / old setup but I can't justify using it - so it has been off most of the time.
It's not using the new feature added in CMX, I need to run motion, port the video into that and then back out to stewartonweather.
But it's such a bandwidth and resource hog - and I've been unable to embed tags into it that it's pretty pointless.
sooooo - with the new tag and the fact I already upload the video to ecowitt, - I wont need to mess about with motion and ecowitt would be paying the b/w for those viewing a streamed image?
That's my understanding of this anyway.

OK, I get the point.
We'll wait until the next releases. Maybe I have my own cam by then. Makes a shorter line.
