Dear Sirs,
I have connected my Ecowitt WiFi Weather Station with Cumulus MX, via
local
API. Cumulus says me that it is connected to the station, but when I
open
the web browser with Cumulus dashboard I receive no data. Could you
kindly
help me how to solve?

If you zip up your the txt file in MXDiags and attach it to your post it might give us a clue as to what is happening.

Hi Paolo,

There is a "MXdiags" subdirectory in your MX installation. The files are to be found in there - names similar to 20230904-072000.txt.

You are getting the following response when CumulusMX tries to talk to your station (translated to English).
This means you are not connecting to the Ecowitt WS correctly.

Your signature says you have a Ecowitt WiFi, which is a bit vague as there are lots of those. Can you tell us the model number of the Ecowitt Weather Station you are trying to connect as it looks like you either have an unsupported model or you are trying to connect it the wrong way.

My weather station is a Ventus W830 https://www.soluzionimeteo.it/stazioni- ... round.html, but in fact is equal to the Ecowitt WS2910 https://www.ecowitt.com/shop/goodsDetail/29# and it's a WiFi Weather Station.
The software of the WiFi weather station is EasyWeather version 1.6.5.

Ok so reading the bible at WXForum (https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=40730.0) it is compatible with CumulusMX using the Ecowitt Custom Server option like my HP2551.

So have you set up the Custom Server on the Console with these settings -

Protocol: Ecowitt
Server: CMX IP Address
Path: /station/ecowitt
Port: 8998
Interval: 20

I don't think you have because CumulusMX cannot read the transport connection which is why you are getting the message I posted.

And in addition the station type on CMX settings must be set to HTTP (Ecowitt).

With CMX IP Address you mean the local IP address of the Ecowitt Weather Station?

I think there are also problems in the path and in the port.

Problemi solved: now everything is OK. Thank you very very much for your support. Finally I used your settings on Ecowitt Weather Station setup and I changed CMX from Ecowitt local API to Ecowitt HTTP

Final question: Now my Ecowitt weather station has started to send data to Cumulus MX. If i close CMX and I switch off the PC (not the Ecowitt data sending) for example if tomorrow I restart CMX, historical data start from today when I started to send data from Ecowitt Station to CMX? So my final question is that if for historical data CMX must always be active.

Are you posting your data to Ecowitt.net.

If the answer is yes, then set up the Application Key and the API Key in your User Profile (the Icon on the top right at Ecowitt.net) and then put those in the Ecowitt Data Access API in the Station Settings together with its MAC address. CumulusMX will then automatically download and catch up your station to agree with the history saved at Ecowitt.net every time you restart it.
