Due to the antivirus requiring another restart which was also required a few days ago I keep getting a high rain value. I am running the latest CMX and have attached cut down copy of the logfile.
29/08/23,21:23,11.7,82,8.7,2.3,4.47,238,0.000,0.118,1007.3,1.343,20.7,72,1.34,11.7,11.7,
29/08/23,21:25,11.7,82,8.7,0.3,5.80,266,0.000,24.506,1008.1,25.730,20.8,70,5.8,11.7,11.
29/08/23,21:30,11.7,82,8.7,0.4,6.90,238,0.000,24.506,1008.2,25.730,20.8,70,6.9,11.7,11.
29/08/23,21:35,11.6,83,8.8,0.6,11.40,234,0.000,24.506,1008.2,25.730,20.8,71,11.4,11.6,1
29/08/23,21:39,11.5,83,8.7,1.0,2.24,253,0.000,0.118,1006.9,1.343,20.6,72,2.24,11.5,11.5,

At 21:23 rain value was 0.118ins. but jumped to 24.506 at 24.506 using the ecowitt data download although there is no entry for 24.506 when checking ecowitt.

Have attached diag file

Found other spikes in the alltime.ini/txt and the dayfile. with CMX off can they be altered by removing false entries and then restart CMX?
I have copied these files into another folder and intend to remove errors before copying back to CMX and restarting will that create more problems?

Its because the Ecowitt servers said your annual rainfall at 21:25 was 25.73 - this looks like it is a value in mm given your counter was 1.342 inches?

Code: Select all

"yearly":{"unit":"in","list":{"1693340400":"25.73","1693340700":"25.73","1693341000":"25.73"}
But I requested the rainfall data to be sent in inches

Code: Select all

rainfall_unitid=13
and the response as seen above says the value in in inches.

Or does the Ecowitt server have a vastly different value for the annual rainfall from your station?

:bash: Yip my fault the 25,73 is from the HP2551. I had copied copied the CMX / GW110C files to a another laptop for the HP2551 and changed the API setting but not the API key :bash: . The GW1100C is sitting at 1.34 due to a reset the HP2551 is at 25.73. As I have my own records and dashboard I am not sure changing all the files is going to be worth the effort.
Thanks Mike
