Cumulus Support

This is my first post on this forum, if it is not in the correct place pleas let me know and I will move it.
I upgraded from Cumulus 1 to MX yesterday, this went smoothly and the notes on the MX website were clear and helpful. There is one small problem with the default website.
I installed all the files in the webfiles directory and the webpages update correctly with the exception of the charts. All the charts are blank see attached screen shot.
There are numerous .js files on the webhost which update regularly. The “dashboard” works including the charts.
Any assistance with getting the website charts working would be appreciated.

Well there should be numerous .json files that update, so is this a mistake?

If you post your latest .txt file from MXDiags it may give us some clues.

Also, make sure you have gone through all the Internet settings, including Graph File Settings.
Can you provide the URL to your website.

Slip of the fingers, it is .json files, screen shot from cpanel attached.
I double checked the internet settings which appear to be correct, screen shot of part of the settings attached.
My website is https://wether.silverbirch.me.uk.

I have checked the website with three different browsers (Firefox, DuckDuckGo and Edge) in three different devices one on a mobile network two on broadband.
It will be interesting f ou can see the graphs.

Hi,
Website URL is https://weather.silverbirch.me.uk/trends.htm If you select the Charts items it is blank, then press [F12] key (using Edge) you will see it gives a 404 status on availabledata.json and graphconfig.json files. Are these files being uploaded?

No, even though they are selected they are not on the host server. Is there a way to kich them into life?

Hi,
It should do that automatically if you have all the settings correct. I think those 2 files are uploaded each time that CMX is started. Possible stop and restart CMX and see if they then are uploaded.

have you uploaded ALL the files from the \CumulusMX\webfiles folder to your web server?



edit seems your site just came alive

I will do a file by file check and a restart in the morning. I have not restarted Mx since setting up the internet settings.

Hi,
You should stop and restart CMX, then I think those two files will be uploaded (these 2 files on my 2 separate CMX site are dated from the last time that I started each CMX).

Fixed. Restarting the MX engin worked to upload availabledata.json and graphconfig.json files to the web host.
It sounds like it may be good practice to restart MX after changing the config and not just when Windows does an update.
