WXNOW.text change

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

WXNOW.text change

Post by KF0KFL-13 »

Currently I have to manually change the wxnow.txt file in order to put a comment on my weather station that shows up like this in aprs.fi :

I take this Cumulus MX generated wxnow.txt :

... and manually enter the text for the comment I want:

Is there a way to get Cumulus MX to automate this?

Another great option would be to input this generated forecast into the comment Image

Not currently, but I can add a feature request to add it at some point.

How do you add the forecast to the comment?

Settings> Internet Settings> Interval Configuration> Normal Interval Settings> Standard File Settings.

There you will see an option to add a comment to the wxnow.text. To add the forecast, I add the web tag " <#cumulusforcast> . It will then add the Cumulus generated Zambretti forecast.
