New not used Maplin N96GY and another used but with all bits and various spare bits

Post by water01 »

I have a new still in the original packing Maplin N96GY weather station. I have not used it so I do not know it works but have no reason to believe it will not. I also have a used Maplin N96GY that was working fine before I changed to my Ecowitt. I also have various spares such anemometers, and directional vanes. Each of the complete sets has original Consoles again one worked one never used.

I can post these as long as someone is willing to pay the postage otherwise they are free.

Both are 433.9MHz consoles.

I don't know what they look like, do you have a picture of it, David?

My nephew wants a station to play around with, this might be something for him?!

They are the old FineOffset stations supported by both Cumulus 1 and CumulusMx that came with an integrated memory (logger) and had a USB connection from the console to the PC.

There was always a few problems with the syncing usually caused by the lack of a ferrite core on the USB cable. This cable wasn't supplied with the station but I have included one in one of the boxes viewtopic.php?t=20424. Funny enough mine always worked but without ferrite rings!!

Here is an article on them from yesteryear https://jonarcher.info/blog/maplins-wea ... ation-fun/
