Weather trends graph
Morning folks. Been looking at enabling the 2d option in the weather trends graph but can't see how to do it. Looked at a few other sites where it is working but the cumuluschart.js seems to be the same so I'm stumped.

Re: Weather trends graph
It will be automatically enabled if you have more than 2 days' worth of data to display. You only have 24 hours at the moment.
Settings > Display Options > Charts
Settings > Display Options > Charts

Re: Weather trends graph
I presume you have extended the stored data to allow for this in Display Options > Charts> Chart hours and days.
If you do not have the data you cannot display it!!
Whoops Mark beat me to it!!

Re: Weather trends graph
However despite these being set at 24 hours the 24 hour button was ghosted out so I thought that option was for the dashboard charts and not the internet based charts.

Re: Weather trends graph
Indeed those graph buttons do behave a bit unexpectedly. I have set graphs to contain two days, but the 2d button remains grayed out and to see two days I have to click all-button.

Re: Weather trends graph
I think high charts needs more than 24 hours data to enable 24 hour button etc. They are meant to be subsets of All. If you set MX to 25 hours I think it will enable.

Re: Weather trends graph
You are most probably right. But a normal human logic would assume, that after zooming to a smaller dataset you could return to 24h with that button even if you only have 24h worth of data. Or even if you had 36h data and you pressed 2d button, it still would expand to the maximum what data has to offer instead of needing to use the all button. But programmer’s logic and human logic often do not match.

Re: Weather trends graph
I've noticed for items like soil moisture, soil temps and leaf wetness despite enabling two days of data these graphs don't have the option available.

Re: Weather trends graph
That's because you do not have 2 days of data for those graphs - it you look at the entries, they are at every five minute intervals rather that 1 minute like the other graphs. So at the moment it is going from 17:05 two days ago to 17:00, so you are just shy (by 4 minutes) of two days of data.

Re: Weather trends graph
Any reason why they are every five minutes as the logging interval is up to 90 seconds for the temp and soil moisture sensor and 54 seconds for the leaf wetness?

Re: Weather trends graph
Because that is the station interval set in CumulsMX. It does not read the interval settings set in the weather station.

Re: Weather trends graph
A bit more information...
The "base sensor" values are all logged internally by MX at 1-minute intervals regardless of station update rate or logging intervals. "Extra sensors" are only logged at the logging interval to the monthly files; so, your Recent graphs for the extra sensors are at that same logging interval.

Re: Weather trends graph
Sorry to resurrect this slightly older thread, but I have a, probably dumb, related question. I am capturing data from two soil moisture sensors and can see the data under Extra Sensors but not, probably relevantly, in the Monthly Log. I also can't see any way to graph the data, the fields aren't available in the Recent or Select-a-Chart options.
I am definitely missing something obvious and have searched but either can't find or don't understand anything that might help. Can anyone enlighten me?

Re: Weather trends graph
I don't have Settings / Display Options. I have Settings / Station Settings /Display Options but that isn't what you mean, I think.
