Problem with European regional format of dates
Good evening Mr. Hans, I have to tell you that my knowledge of "html" in general of computer science is very little, even so I have "cumulusUtils" working correctly, I must also say it thanks to my friend "Kocher" from San Sebastian (Spain)
The problem I have is that for quite some time I bought the "Wswin" program and I also use a template designed by Mr. Tex that includes it for free, and designed with European format, but there is a tab that is not exclusively in this format doesn't work well, I followed your recommendation and changed the date on the PC from dd/mm/yyyy to dd.mm.yyyy everything seemed to go well except when at 00:05 every day "CumulusUtils" "website" is executed giving a Unrecognized or out of range "data time" error, as a consequence FWI is not updated.
I have returned to the previous date format and it works again, is there a solution that can be done?
Actually only this parameter is apparently affected.
I am using the version "CumulusUtils Version 6.7.8 - generated at 04/05/2023 0:06:41 - © Hans Rottier

@JUMAVISTA:
Hope he's still doing OK, haven't seen him for a while.
Do you have an MXdiags logfile and a CUtils logfile while the date format was set to dd.mm.yyyy?
Powered by Cumulus[MX] 3.25.0 (build: 3241) and CumulusUtils Version 6.18.1 - generated at 04/05/2023 1:22
Yes, Kocher was a great help introducing CUtils to Spain
I don't remember advising to change the PC date. Do you have a link to that post or PM?JUMAVISA wrote: ↑Wed 03 May 2023 10:41 pm The problem I have is that for quite some time I bought the "Wswin" program and I also use a template designed by Mr.
Changing the PC date is generally not a wise thing in CumulusMX context as it may change the dateformat in the logs.

I see on your site you already have upgraded to the latest versions of CMX and CUtils:

Re: Problem with European regional format of dates
Good morning Hans, thanks for your answer, yes, last night after sending you the query, I dared to update Cutils to the latest version and I think successfully, although the "links" tab has lost the ones it had and I have to see how to recover them.
I am sending you these files that you requested, to see if there is any way to combine them with the template that I mentioned yesterday. Thank you very much for your attention.

Re: Problem with European regional format of dates
@JUMAVISA: Thanks for the logs (which are dated 18 April).
I checked the date format for Spain, assuming you use the language code ES on your CUtils installation and on your international settings of your PC. That date format for Spain is dd/mm/yy (for the short year format). This means, that if you change the format to "." separator in your international settings, your data format in dayfile.txt and monthly logfiles will change while the handling of CUtils will not because it will continue to use the / as separator. This is what we see in the logfiles. Seeing this I think I can't help you. The interaction between CMX and CUtils is such that both depend on the international country settings (what is called the "locale").
I advise you to NOT change the PC international settings.
You also need to check now your logfiles and change all date entries which use the "." as separator back to the "/" format.
If there is a solution it must be in changing the Wswin template. Unfortunately I can't help you there, I have no knowledge of this tool.
Could you also post the logfiles of CMX and CUtils for today so I can check it all is running OK?

Re: Problem with European regional format of dates
Hello good evening Hans, I have had a very busy day today and I have not been able to answer you until now, very much agree with your answer, I will follow your advice and not touch the locale at all, all the files that were affected by the date en (.) have been repaired to their normal state and fortunately your magnificent updated "cumulusUtils" seems to run properly, I am sending you the files you requested, if you notice any strange anomaly you should know that today I have had many problems with power outages and more than one reboot due to a problem unrelated to the PC, due to a kitchen appliance that has said "enough".
I ask for your help to restore the "Links" tab as it was before the update, you should know that I have a backup copy as it was in the previous version, since I had it for a long time I don't remember very well how to replace it
Thanks again

Re: Problem with European regional format of dates
@JUMAVISA:
The CUtils log looks good.
The CMX log tells me :so it seems you have to reconfigure some things. Most likely the Internet/Interval settings in CMX.
If it does not find these files it will not send the realtime files to the website and CUtils will not have an updating dashboard.
Could you explain?
The CUtils log looks good.
The CMX log tells me :
Code: Select all
2023-05-04 22:44:35.709 Realtime[0]: Extra realtime web file[0] not found - D:\CumulusMX\web
2023-05-04 22:44:35.709 Realtime[0]: Extra realtime web file[5] not found - D:\CumulusMX\realtimegaugesT.txt
2023-05-04 22:44:37.671 Realtime[0]: Warning, extra web file[0] not found! - D:\CumulusMX\web
2023-05-04 22:44:38.515 Realtime[0]: Warning, extra web file[5] not found! - D:\CumulusMX\realtimegaugesT.txt
If it does not find these files it will not send the realtime files to the website and CUtils will not have an updating dashboard.
I don't understand which "Links tab" you mean. CUtils has no Links tab?
Could you explain?

Re: Problem with European regional format of dates
Good afternoon Hans, I think I have managed to solve the problems you indicated to me with MXdiags, for this reason I am sending you the latest logs, in case you think they are correct.
Thank you so much

Re: Problem with European regional format of dates
Hello Hans, the "Links" tab that appears in the menu was created in the old versions, in which Wxsim links or other additional information pages appeared, what happens is that now I don't know how to make them be again visible, perhaps the "Extra" tab is used for this function?
If so where can I read to try contributing these scripts again, and also remove "Links" from the Usermenu

Re: Problem with European regional format of dates
@JUMAVISA: That looks good. I see the updates are working so:
Do You still need some assistance with what you call the link (Enlaces?) page?
I think I know what the problem is here: for the usermenu you did update the Webcam and and the AQI to the new Bootstrap 5 navigation format but the dropdown for the links is still old. It needs to be using the <ul> and <li> tags like in the example in the wiki.
If you need help you need to post your CUsermenu.txt so I can look at it.

Hello Hans, yours was a great help, problem solved, now you can see "https://www.badameteo.com/CumulusMX/FWI/" with the "Links" tab working.
Thank you very much for his spectacular help.
