Not sure what I am missing here. I just noticed this on my historic charts. Since around the end of July 2022, my wind speed and wind gust are the same numbers. Occasionally they differ, but not often.

It may coincide with my switch from a Davis Vantage Vue to Weatherflow Tempest. Data from that station's software seem to be fine.
Any thoughts, or suggestions?

Perhaps the station supplied is not correct. Try setting Calculate Average Wind Speed in Station Settings > Common Options.

Will try - whats odd is the data are correct elsewhere (data on the chart for today shows different values for gust and wind speed as expected).

Well data looks good from yesterday (historic) - maybe that was it, will monitor. Seems it may have been checked/unchecked over time - unsure why.

I didn't write the Tempest Station code, but I'll take a look an see if I can spot anything.
Meantime, could you switch on debug and data logging then upload the latest log file after running like that for 10 - 15 minutes?

Re: Wind Speed and Gust data are the same
I have had a look at the Tempest station code, and the station only sends a single current wind speed value.
So yes, the required configuration is for CMX to calculate the average speed.
I will change the station code so that it forces that setting to always be enabled when that station type is used.
