In The Netherlands we call a day (24 hour period from 0:00 till 24 hours) when the tempereture becomes 0 Celsius or lower a 'vorstdag' is this te same ??
We have also a 'ijsdag' free translation is an iceday this is a Noun (24 hrs) when the maximum stays equal or below 0 Celsius

Re: Air frosts ?
Yes; well almost - strictly speaking, the air temperature has to fall below 0 C for an air frost to be recorded.nitrx wrote:In The Netherlands we call a day (24 hour period from 0:00 till 24 hours) when the tempereture becomes 0 Celsius or lower a 'vorstdag' is this te same ??

Maybe also a suggestion for summerdays and tropical days
a summerday is over here when the maximum is equal to 25 C or more and a tropical day when maximimum exceeds 30 Celsius, a day with a maximum equal 20 Celsius or more is a warm day
Summary
20 C till 25 C is warm day
25 C till 30 C is summerday
30 C and more is tropcal day it has no hurry
