It should not oscillate in Cumulus, it displays the highest gust in the last 10 minutes (default), it *could* in theory drop for one reading then go back up again, but that new reading should hold for the next ten minutes.

Like I said I observed the same and there's nothing to fix. If gusts are roughly similar it will oscillate. Gust at 2.5secs 30 mph gust at 5secs 32 mph gust at 7.5secs 30 mph you would see 30 mph then 32 mph then 30mph which be shown in the weatherlink app and cumulus. Remember the ten minute window will be moving forward.
If you're looking at the ten minute gust in a set period then 32 mph would be shown.
It had never done this for me in the weatherlink app, and I use it all of the time. Dozens of times, I've have the app open on my desk while my phone is sat in a dock, and I set the screen to stay on, so I can glance across to keep track of any big gusts of wind.
Why should it keep flicking between two values? The lower value has been surpassed, and the higher value should take it's place.
As I keep repeating, I can 100% tell you that it wasn't happening some time before I made a post here - I wasn't sure where the issue was coming from to begin with - Now I know it is on Davis' side. They've recently made a change somewhere, that has created this issue.

The logs will provide the evidence as to the cause.

I've already explained why it does it and the display is correct. What you're expecting it to show is the average ten minute gust which the weatherlink app isn't showing.

The title of the thread is "10 min peak gust"
I've not mentioned anything about an average.
