mcrossley wrote:Maybe I should post this as a feature request (if it isn't already), but how about adding a field for both 'normal' updates and 'realtime' updates to call a script or exe. Then folks could do whatever copying/processing/ftp'ing etc they wanted after each update?
I think something similar has been requested already (by Kevin?) but possibly not exactly the same as this.

The whole thing needs a revamp, really. There was no 'realtime.txt' initially, then after it came along there was the option to upload other files with it, then the option to copy instead of ftp, so it's all a bit ad hoc. It all needs rationalising. But the basic facility of copying to a local web server is there and isn't hard to set up.

Hello again,

Ok, I got it up and running :)
Perhaps I was little bit eager to get it running but after some testing with different configs I finally made it. Still I don't know the difference between having the "Include Standard images" or "Copy images to folder" checkbox ticked?
Now I only have the "Copy images to folder" ticked with a path. And of course folder+file names for the six webfiles (with the "Realtime" ticked).

Many thanks for quick answers!!!

BR,

/Mikael

From the help:

Include Standard Images - If this is ticked, the standard image files generated by Cumulus (graphs, etc) will be uploaded at each web update.

Copy images to folder - This allows you to specify a folder to which the standard image files are copied at each web update interval, either the 'normal' interval, or the 'realtime' interval, depending on whether or not the 'realtime?' box is ticked.

Seems clear enough to me (but then I suppose it would!), the first says 'uploaded', so that applies when you have ftp configured, the second says 'copied', so that causes them to be copied somewhere locally. The two are independent. Perhaps I should change the first one to explicitly mention 'ftp' rather than just 'uploaded'?

Have you copied the required files and created the required folders (e.g. dbimages and its contents) to the correct place? If so, then it's possible that the javascript gauges just don't work accessing via a file:// URL, only via http:// and a web server. I'm afraid it's beyond my knowledge, but maybe someone else can offer advice.
