Extra Sensors Not Showing With Latest Build

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

I noticed that the created web->extradewdata.json file is empty.
Thanks, found and fixed (extra "t" in the filename :bash: )

Mark,

I found another error. The <#stationpressure> tag doesn't work. At the Ecowitt and Davis station they give me "0.0".

Tags
<#presstrendsigned>
<#temptrendsigned>
they work fine.

Sorry for posting this in the charts thread

Edit:
It doesn't work with Ecowitt, it works with Davis.

Davis VP2 only supports station pressure if LOOP 2 is enabled
Davis WLL fully supports station pressure.
Ecowitt does not support station pressure - though I can look into adding it where it is supplied.

I enabled the option just to be sure-> Enable use of the LOOP2 data packets (UseDavisLoop2) .
It didn't do anything.
My console connects via WL USB logger from Davis.

I just ran it against my VP2 with a Davis logger and the query:
http://[::1]:8998/api/tags/process.json?press&altimeterpressure&stationpressure
returned

Code: Select all

{"press":"1003.6","altimeterpressure":"1002.9","stationpressure":"994.9"}

My gateways report absolute pressure and station pressure which my understand is relative and absolute (or station) respectively. At least in the live data string.

PS I think I had those the wrong way round   gone down with covid today so make sure you check which is which :bash:

Yep, Ecowitt do supply the data, CMX didn't do anything with it though. I'll add it now as it is a simple addition.

The new release of CMX solved all the problems I reported.

- recent charts and select-a-charts with extra sensors work,
- extradewdata.json is already written,
- <#stationpressure> tag works for Ecowitt.

Thanks a lot.

With the latest build it works fine with the GW2000 site

https://www.angteck.co.uk/

But not on the GW1000 site

https://longsutton-weather.co.uk/

On this the extra sensor is a WH 31 and I have changed this in strings.ini to Hall

In Charts the name is still Extra Temperature and Extra Humidity but in Select-a-Graph the name is Hall. In neither case does it load.

The console says:

Ypou have two instances? Right?

It does not find the datafile.
Did you configure CMX correctly both in selected datafiles as in selected data for that instance?

Both instances are running on separate Raspberry Pi

And on the GW1000 version neither extrahumdata.json or extratempdata.json are being produced

The Extra Sensor in question is a WH32 and it's data is appearing ok in the dashboard

The extra sensors on the GW2000 version are all WH31 devices and they appear ok now on the website (not sure if the WH31 v WH32 bit is relevant?)

The new version introduced changes to charts.js, chartscompare.js, extrasensors.js files. For the charts to work well on the website, you need to copy or edit the charts.js and chartscompare.js files in the js directory on the server. Then chart series works fine.
