Cumulus Support

Good evening, I have noticed that since March 4, 2023 the Noaa reports are not being updated. If I go to the route /var/www/html/Reports, its modification date is 00:00:03, which means that CumulusMx modifies the file but does not save or modify the current days. Tried restarting CumulusMx, upgrade to latest version. Check Noaa configuration in: Settings Noaa Settings Enable reports: Create NOAA files after daily transfer (checked) charging options Automatic upload of NOAA report files (checked) Upload folder: /var/www/html/Reports If I go to Reports to Noaa Month Reports I have tried as I read the option to Regenerate the report for the month of March and it still does not create those 3 days that are missing I'll see if today's is generated at midnight. I don't know if there is a way to recover those days The strange thing is that I don't remember having touched anything these days and CumulusMX was unchanged since the end of January, which was the last time I updated it. any suggestions?

It does not seem to be only the NOAA reports but also the Details (the link to Detalles which you give).

So could you check the basics of the system and see if any data is entered in the dayfile.txt after the 4th of march (and of course if it is logging any data at all in the march logfile).

In response, could you please post your logfile with debug/data switched on?

You'll have to check on Saratoga's site. His update procedure should tell you.
Modifications are yours, we can't support that.

And yes, the data is written in the dayfile.txt correctly (that is good )

Could you send the logfile with debug/data on. Post the logfile after the next rollover (because that should show the NOAA report creation/sending) so that will be tomorrow.

In the meantime: could you send your current logfile? It might give already a clue. Check your procedures if you have configured any External Programs and/or scheduler. Check you PHP for the Detalles. Something outside CMX seems to be going wrong.

To update your template set to current script version(s), use the updates tool page with a query set for 27-Dec-2022 for Base-World, CU-plugin, then click "check for updates".


Before uploading the files, open each original file and the new file, and then compare it using notepad++ (and "compare" plugin) side by side. you can then add your changes to the new files, save them and upload to the web etc. you will need to do this for each new file, so take your time.

make sure you have backed up all your original files first of all.

Thanks, if I know the option, I will try to fix the Noaa reports error first and then with more time I will update the templates.

Can you post the mar23log.txt and I will see if I can detect the error in there by reading it with my tool. I cannot find it just by looking at it.

Obviously there are missing several lines but that should not give the error although there may be something specific in the build/calculation of the NOAA report.

It may be that there is an invalid character (or more) in the file which I can't see in what you show here.

When opened with a correct editor it was possible to see a lot of nulls between the 7h50 line and the 10h10 line.
I removed all nulls and think the file is OK now.

Just replace the file in your CMX installation with the one attached to this post.
I think this solves it.

NOTE: in some editors you will see and empty line. Removing that does the trick as well.

Thank you, correct from the mobile the lines appeared fine, I did not notice the time jump, and the NUL line from the pc with notepad++ if it can be seen, after deleting that I regenerated the Noaa Report and uploaded to the ftp and perfect, I will observe it tonight , thank you so much
