CUtils6.17.0

Post by AndyKF650 »

Hi Hans

After a clean install of CMX and CUtils 6.17.0 it seems that all is functioning as expected.

No issues that I can see. Great work.

Great, thanks for the confirmation!
Keep an eye on it, especially around monthly rollover, starting/stopping and other regular and irregular things. I have some 95% confidence

Hi Hans

I installed the new CMX version 3.24.0 b3231 yesterday and converted to the php upload process. Most things worked fine on CUtils but the moon disc and extrasensors graphs caused problems.

With the moon disc as you know I have been using the CMX disc for ages now and despite changing the relative path and getting the CMX disc to update onto my website background file the moon disc now shows as a image marker but not the image.

The extrasensors graphs seems rather odd as I can see the data coming into the CUtils , it shows on the realtime data panel and the longer term rolling data. I did try rebooting the ecowitt gateway, running the extrasensors cmd line, userupdate ccmd line and website update to no avail.

I have attached the charts.def, website update log and CUtils.ini file for info.

Any thoughts would be good.

Hi Hans

Update installed and as you suggested the data adds onto the chart at each update. It may take a while to see a full chart.

I see the patch is working with Ian but the strange thing with Andy is that I do see a full chart (from 2 march onwards).

@Andy... did you remove the JSON on the server? Or else: why do I see a full chart on your website?

[EDIT:] I don't think we're there yet when I look at Ian's site

I installed the patch - removed the json and ran an update

I'm doing that horrible 'work' stuff people make you do :bash: but I'll keep an eye on here and run updates as requested

@Andy: OK, your site is working, I now see the data coming up incrementally.

@nossie: You don't have to wait for 10h00 to see your site does not do the correct thing. Please make a separate topic and send me the logfile for UserAskedData and the inifile

Hi Hans

It seems that the PM2.5 and PM10 charts are working but the CO2 and extra temperature sensors charts are not.

I see three charts:
  1. ExtraCO2_pm2p5
  2. ExtraCO2
  3. ExtraTemperature
I believe you are 1 hr behind so from what I see now on your site is working charts: the data starts at 7h45 (local time) and runs until now (8h45).
I see no problem so far. You can check by zooming in a lot (your chart has 7 or so days, one hr is easy to miss).

Hi Hans

By way of information as to my usual fiddling about with my website, yesterday after cleaning up redundant files on the RPi and running overnight with no issues, this morning I stopped CMX, did a complete back up of the CMX folder and then deleted the CMX folder and reinstalled the current builds of CMX and CUtils. Then copied the data, reports, utils, web and webfile folders together with the CMX.ini and CUtils.ini files.

After a reboot of the RPi all seemed to work just fine on the system and website. All the expected data and charts seemed to be in place and working with the exception of the ExtraSensors Charts which showed the past few days history and then a gap at the current time.

After a bit of head scratching I remembered that on reboot I had not rerun the cmd website. This proved to be the key and all the missing data on the extrasensors charts reappeared and now refreshes just as it should.

The last issue I had just after the php upload upgrade was the fact that my moon image did not work on the desktop. After so trial and error and looking at another website in the CUtils sphere I worked out that my upload from CMX went to my "Generalicons" folder on my web host rather than the default "image" folder. A change of upload path for the moon.png file in CMX to the "image" folder sorted that issue.

Now I just have to take my hands off the system for a while and let it get on with data recording and presentation as it should do. :)

Good idea. This was a hectic release because of all the novelties in CMX.

Expect some 'patch releases' (i.e. combining some fixes with the base release) to the current versions.
Nothing serious - so not required - for CUtils but some fixes for CMX would be advisable to break your pause and install. You can go in hibernation again afterwards. And btw: you can always choose to skip a release or two as long as the difference does not get too big ;)
