Airlink Stops Updating on Network Reboot

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Airlink Stops Updating on Network Reboot

Post by hemmits »

Every time I reboot my network, I have to restart Cumulus for it to rediscover my Davis Airlink. If I don't, Cumulus just keeps reporting the last value received, displaying a flat-line graph in the charts. I was curious if Cumulus could be coded to prevent this?

Just a random thought. Does your airlink’s ip address change when you reboot your network router? If it does, the problem might be resolved by making a dhcp reservation to router settings or setting a static ip to airlink.

Thanks for the suggestion! I thought I had this setup, but I guess not. I tried this again and will see if it works.
