Chart time wrong

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Chart time wrong

Post by Texsky »

I received and installed a new Vantage Vue ISS the other day and everything was working fine. But after a couple of days I decided to apply a correction offset to the humidity reading at the console. Somehow during that process the console clock got buggered. After setting that back to the correct time, the Chart graphs are not synchronized with respect to time. For instance, the last chart reading is showing a time about 40 minutes ahead of what the actual time is and it's also frozen. The last update is showing 10:10 local when it's actually 09:44 as of this writing. I've deleted the spurious log values, cleared browser cache, restarted MX, and none of these have corrected the problem. All other timestamps are accurate on the other pages...it's just the Charts. Might someone know what's going on and how to resolve this?

Thanks.

Notice: The time updates for the Charts are back to functioning normally and the bogus log updates were cleared out as well. Bit of an odd situation but evidently there was a connection of some kind where the Chart timestamps were "waiting" for the correct clock time to catch up.

I suspect that it was the log entries in the console that were to blame. The consoles logger pointers got out of sync with the logger contents. So, when MX requested a range of data starting at a particular time, the content of that data contained times that did not match.
