WeatherLink renewal

I spent the day pulling floorboards up to route my new ethernet cable nice & tidy, that meant some downtime. After reconnection, I noticed that the archive history data was set to 15 minutes, despite having it set to 5 minutes.
I checked the WeatherLink data, only to see data at 15 minute intervals. Even though I had an automatic renewal set on my subscription, it automatically put it back to 15 minutes. How stupid is that? Six weeks have passed, and I had no idea!
I've set it back to 5 minutes again, but I was under the impression that WeatherLink logged data at a frequent interval regardless of a subscription - only having a subscription meant you get to see it at a more frequent interval?
Anyway, another piece of stupidity by Davis. The list is growing!

I had found in the past that the normal and default logging for WL.com is 15 minutes but if you have a Pro subscription you can set it at 5 minutes, which you have to do in the settings. I have also found that if you change the account from a Pro to basic (as I have done between my 2 WL.com accounts but only 1 Pro subscription) and then back to Pro the settings are automatically reset at 15 minute interval, so you need to do that manually again if you want 5 minute - luckily for me my time between reset wasn't as long as yours.
With my auto-subscription renewals it has kept the 5 minute interval, and only if I unset the Pro subscription does it go to 15 minute.
I hadn't noticed this before but on that WL.com settings page it shows how long the WLL has available storage in case of internet failure:
Estimated 1980 hours on board storage space in the event of an internet outage.
which is 82-1/2 days
Enjoy,
Paul

Why did my auto-renewal put it back to 15 minutes? I didn't change a thing!

Mine has survived renewals without a glitch as well. Who knows, one to ask Davis, they may be able to look if there was some problem with your renewal process.

did the renewal lapse and you were on the free Basic plan (15 minute) for a while perhaps?

Ooh thanks.
Mine has just renewed as well.
Just checked and mine maintained the 5min Archive Rates....
I was annoyed the fact the renewal Email. Said your Auto renewal will be charged on the 17th Feb.
But didn't actually say how much it was going to be.
I had to Email to find out the renewal
Why they couldn't just put the price on the Email as well...
