Not long got home and connected up my station and uploaded today's data. This is the windspeed graph
Can someone tell me why the traces are all bunched up in the morning and in the afternoon - The last time I disconnected the station from the PC was around 7.30 am
It seems that when the station is connected I get the compressed data, when the station is disconnected I get the wide traces
The 'wide traces' reflect the data logger interval, typically 10 minutes.
The 'narrow' ones reflect periods where Cumulus is active, polling the station every 10 secs for new data, and updating the graphs at a much higher interval.
When Cumulus is running, it plots the graphs at 1-minute intervals. When it starts up, it plots the graphs initially from the data in the log files. The frequency of the data in the log files depends on where the data came from. If it was logged while Cumulus was running, it's the log interval you set in Cumulus; if it was logged from data in the logger, it's the log interval you set in the station. It looks like you have a rather long interval set in the station and/or Cumulus.
I'd recommend that you set the logger interval in the station and Cumulus to a smaller value, the default station interval of 30 minutes is ridiculously long, and means it can store data for about 12 weeks before it gets overwritten. I'd suggest you set it to 5 or 10 minutes. Even at 5 minutes, you could go for nearly two weeks without downloading the data.

You have to use Easyweather, unfortunately - it's on the 'setup' screen, I think.
Yeah, just read through the pdf on the CD that came with it !
(History data saving interval can only be changed using the PC software that
comes with this product, the default history data saving time interval is preset to 30 minutes).
I can understand why it wants a relative pressure in a sensible range, but I don't know why it thinks the absolute pressure is 23.8 hPa. I guess it read it incorrectly from the station. Does cancelling, and stopping it and starting it again help?
