Latest Cumulus MX V4 release 4.0.1 (build 4023) - 16 May 2024

(Note that 4.1.0 (build 4024) - 05 June 2024 remains available, but usage of this version is not recommended - particularly for Davis stations - and the included utility in this distribution for migrating to v4 is known to contain errors affecting conversion of dayfile.txt)

Legacy Cumulus 1 release 1.9.4 (build 1099) - 28 November 2014
(a patch is available for 1.9.4 build 1099 that extends the date range of drop-down menus to 2030)

WS80 spike/hang

Post by HansR »

Just had again (after a year or so) another spike and a hang on the wind reading of the WS80.
Took the moment to take it down, clean it and install the new firmware. Hope the new firmware helps against this type of malfunction, it takes me (after discovery) some two hours to take it down, install/clean and take it up again. In winter at Bf 5 that is not funny. Fortunately it was some +10 deg and not -10!

One remark: one year outside really makes it filthy with a lot of spiders and birdshit.
Might be a cause as well as all that biosphere no doubt changes the behaviour of the ultrasone device.
