reinstall of cmx

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

reinstall of cmx

Post by bellmike »

Hi I have had my cmx installed and set up a web page with some help. A couple of days ago my hard drive crashed and computer was old so decided to get a new one. my question is what is the best way to get back up and running again. I Have a recent full back up of my working cmx folder but not sure if I download a new install and copy the back up into the new install or copy my backup over to windows C which I have tried without success
any help would be appreciated. Mike

Simply copying the entire backup folder to the C:/ should work. You will either have to setup the service again or using a DOS Command window opened with Admin rights start CumulusMX.

If you are still having problems please post the latest MXDiags .txt file showing the startup.

Hi David
I copied the backup folder into C: folder and ran cmx it picked up the data from my WLL except the last three days in December that was when it crashed. I ran the create missing tool but it is saying it already exists so I have attached a log file from the create missing and also a zip file of mydiags as the other problem I have is the web page is not updating. I have turned on FTP logging but not sure where to go from here if you could have a quick look I would appreciate it
Cheers Mike
