Hidden rain total error
Hello, The other day my anti virus decided to go rogue and implode. Before this happen I have a lacrosse not sure if that makes any difference. I reset the rain the the year and it made cumulus put 43 inches of rain were it should have only been .03. Found the error and corrected it in cumulus and was working fine. When the anti virus blew I had to do several restores in order to get my pc back to what it used to be. Side note:Beware of system mechanic hehe. That is what caused this problem that isn't in the wiki. Cumulus is now showing that 43 inches back in total rain for the year and the month. I have gone over and over the log for January many times I can not find where it reinserted this false reading. Any help here tracking down this would really help.

Cumulus calculates the monthly and annual totals from the daily totals in dayfile.txt. You probably have a 43 inch total for the day of the problem. Removing/editing that (with Cumulus stopped) should sort things out.rjbrouk wrote:Cumulus is now showing that 43 inches back in total rain for the year and the month.

Yes, did all that in both the day file caught the original the day it happened on the roll over to January 1st. Now when I had to restore my pc went to the jan10log and searched and searched. It should be very easy to find considering its a negative number -43.00 but for the life of me I can find no negative numbers in the total rainfall for the day. Would Cumulus put the number as a positive and possibly broken it up into smaller sums? I have had to do this many times with the lacrosse so I know were to edit but wow I cant find this number anywhere.
Thanks Steve for your help but I sure can't find it.

It's a negative 43? You didn't say that. Anyway, it's dayfile.txt that you should be looking in, not jan10log.txt.rjbrouk wrote:Now when I had to restore my pc went to the jan10log and searched and searched. It should be very easy to find considering its a negative number -43.00

Found it! and I apologize for not mentioning the negative amount. This happens when your baby sitting a toddler that is just learning to walk and a 4 year old that has more questions that I could possibly think of to ask. Keep up the great work brother my prayers are with you.
