Web Reports not being generated.
My web site will not display monthly or annual reports. I get the message 'Did not find the required report'. Could you please offer some assistance. I have attached my MSDiags and ini files if that will help.

Re: Web Reports not being generated.
Hi,
Your settings are to FTP to /Reports folder
but they are not found https://www.redanweather.com/Reports/NOAAYR2023.txt and https://www.redanweather.com/Reports/NOAAMO0123.txt
Can you check a MXDiags file with the end of day rollover period included to check if there is any error reported.
Enjoy,
Paul

Thanks for your reply Paul. As I am a bit of a novice. I have included the latest MXDiags files as well as the previously sent ini file. I would appreciate any guidance you may have to offer. If there are any others files you need, please let me know.

Re: Web Reports not being generated.
Hi Albert,
If you go to your website and select the Reports it gives a message
Pressing the [F12] when on that page will show an error:
which indicates the expected file is not where the script expects it to be. Checking for https://www.redanweather.com/Reports/NOAA202301.txt and https://www.redanweather.com/Reports/NOAAMO0123.txt also shows the needed files are not where expected.
If you have the CumulusMX NOAA Reports settings correct, and from your Cumulus.ini fle it appears you do, then at the end of day CMX will create the monthly and yearly reports, save in your \CumulusMX\Reports folder, and also update to your remote /Reports folder. It appears that this is not yet happening. Do you have reports in your localhost:8998 Dashboard Reports tab?
Checking the MXdiags file that includes the end of day rollver events should give you some info. I a on midnight rollver, so my NOAA reports are done at midnight. I don't know if the same is for your 9:00 am rollover so you may need to check your MXdiags around both those times.
Enjoy,
Paul

Re: Web Reports not being generated.
Hi Paul
I checked my localhost:8998 Dashboard Reports tab, and the reports appear there. It seems they are just not uploading to the web site. I do not know why, so I am still at a loss. Any further suggestions would be appreciated. I have had this problem for a while now so it seems that, somehow, at the end of my day (9am) CMX creates the reports, but they are not being uploaded.

Re: Web Reports not being generated.
Hi Albert, thanks for supplying the MXdiags log file in a previous reply. Unfortunately it doesn't cover the period of the end of the day when the report files should be uploaded. Could you please supply a diags log file that contains your 09:00 rollover so we can see what happens around that time?

Re: Web Reports not being generated.
Your main FTP folder is "/domains/redanweather.com/public_html/"
So shouldn't the reports folder be "/domains/redanweather.com/public_html/Reports" rather than "public_html/Reports"?

I think Mark has likely identified the issue. From rechecking your earlier Cumulus.ini attachment:
I have found that these should both be the same except for the adding of /Reports for NOAA

Hi Paul (and Mark)
I have edited my cumulus.ini and changed the NOAA FTP Directory to '/domains/redanweather.com/public_html/Reports' but it still does not work. Any further suggestions?

Re: Web Reports not being generated.
Hi,
From my usual stab in the dark or trial and error approach:
Did you make the change in Cumulus.ini while CumulusMX was running?
You can edit in NOAA Settings and Save when CumulusMX is running, or you can make the change to the Cumulus.ini when CumulusMX is stopped.
Try the NOAA settings as: /domains/redanweather.com/public_html/Reports/
Manually FTP all the content of your local CumulusMX\Reports to your remote /Reports folder
This should at least show the files in the proper location and should show by clicking on the website Reports tab, but doesn't auto update at the end of day.
Enjoy,
Paul
As we have suggested, look or attach the MXdiags file that includes the period from your 9:00 am roll over time.I have edited my cumulus.ini and changed the NOAA FTP Directory to '/domains/redanweather.com/public_html/Reports' but it still does not work. Any further suggestions?

Re: Web Reports not being generated.
Hi Paul
I edited the .ini file with Cum ulus shut down. I have also added the '/' as you suggested and FTP'd the reports to the web site. It does, as you said, show the reports without updating, however, I will wait until after the next roll-over to check what has happened. If there is no change in the updating, which file do I send from MXDiags to show the information you requested?
Thanks, I really do appreciate your interest - looking forward to the next part of the 'drama'?

Hi Paul
As expected, although the Reports are now showing (due to my manual upload), they are still not updating. I am not sure where I go from here.
Regards
Albert.

Re: Web Reports not being generated.
Hi Albert,
When the files become over 20 mb in size a new file is started, and the last 10 files are kept by CumulusMX. Check the file that has the date/time for the period of your end of day - i.e. with a time of around 09:00 am.
I use midnight as end of day and my MXdiags file for that period has:
and the NOAA are date/time 03/02/23 12:00:09 am on my webhost
Different web hosts use different path to FTP. For my GoDaddy webhost I just use for Remote FTP Directory: public_html/cumulusmx in the Internet settings to have the interval updates go to www.komokaweather.com/cumulusmx and in the NOAA settings > FTP Folder: I have public_html/cumulusmx/Reports: to have the NOAA reports go to www.kmomokaweather.com/cumulusmx/Reports
I occasionally also struggle to get the path correct in some scripts and then do a lot of trials and error until I find the correct one. But this only works if it is a path issue. There could be other FTP reasons that yours is not working and, sorry, I am not very familiar on that.
As a temporary work around you can add the NOAA files in your Extra web files settings and FTP at end of day, but that would likely be the next day as the NOAA file processing is during the current end of day. And you would also need to change the source and remote file name at the end of the month and end of year so not a long term solution.
Enjoy,
Paul
The files in the MXdiags folder contain the ongoing functions CumulusMX performs on an ongoing basis. The files are named in a date and time yyyymmdd-ttttttt.txtIf there is no change in the updating, which file do I send from MXDiags to show the information you requested?
