Due to my mistake, I created a file under Extra Web Files, which also had the name realtimes.txt.
As a result, the original realtime.txt was repeatedly overwritten.
Meaning what? The problem has gone away for you?

Hey Ho!! I have a negative value on my site for Temperature and it shows the minus sign.
So a non-issue indeed.

Now I understand the overwrite remark by @moppedhausi as he uses the tag for his own realtime.txt.
aha... a lot of posts for nothing ;)

Yes, the problem is solved.
In the original realtime.txt there is a "+" or a "-" sign.
My own realtime.txt, which is missing the characters, has always overwritten the original realtime.txt.
That is why this display changed. :oops:

Yes, because that is a numeric value not a string. It is up to you to format it as you wish.
That is weird as well. Even though it is numeric, I would expect the resulting string to contain ate least the minus sign.
I remember vaguely a similar issue recently was with the json value file where I believe Dador made a sign point.
So would I.

What does this show?:- http://<localhost|ip_address>:8998/api/tags/process.json?presstrendval

If you add api/ to the URL ( ;) ) you get :

Code: Select all

{"presstrendval":"0,4"}
which indeed is the current value (rising), no plus sign. But when negative it should be with a - I assume.

Further: I see no temperature trendval webtag in the table. Is that correct?

EDIT: And indeed it does for temperature where the naming of the tags is a bit different:

Code: Select all

{"temptrendval":"","temptrend":"-0,6","temptrendtext":"Falling"}

The numeric temp trend tag is just "temptrend" (for consistency!)

It strikes me that two tags could really do with being added. So, I'll implement in the next release...
