Minus sign of the change indicators not present for minus
Hello,
very strange, this display is shown alternately.
Image1 is not correct here the minus sign "-" would be missing
Image2 is correct
Where can I find the error?

Re: changing display
The sign is CMX generated to realtime.txt I don't know why the minus sign is not generated. @mcrossley?

Re: changing display
Btw: would it be possible to save your remarks and when the lists get's too long (OK... subjective
) or a certain time has passend (depending on how fast you work
) you create a topic here? Of course if it is a fatal you report immediately.

Re: Minus sign of the change indicators not present for minus
No idea, the code is...
So...
1 --> "+1.0"
-1 --> "-1.0"
0 --> "0.0"
Code: Select all
if (station.presstrendval > 0)
file. Write('+' + station.presstrendval.ToString(PressFormat, InvC) + ' '); // 19
else
file. Write(station.presstrendval.ToString(PressFormat, InvC) + ' ');
1 --> "+1.0"
-1 --> "-1.0"
0 --> "0.0"

Re: Minus sign of the change indicators not present for minus
I will wait with a comment until I will see a down trend (now it is all up on my station).mcrossley wrote: ↑Thu 19 Jan 2023 11:15 am No idea, the code is...So...Code: Select all

1 --> "+1.0"
-1 --> "-1.0"
0 --> "0.0"
Well here it is all negative.
So I think there is an issue with the PressFormat.

Re: Minus sign of the change indicators not present for minus
Positive here too, but in the debugger...
PressFormat is just "F1" or "F2" depending on the units
Code: Select all
(-1).ToString(PressFormat, InvC)
"-1.0"- HansR

Re: Minus sign of the change indicators not present for minus
Still the realtime does not contain the minus. Language issue?
EDIT: Nah... InvC.. Forget it.

Re: Minus sign of the change indicators not present for minus
When I let CumulusMX create a file with the webtags <#presstrendval rc=y>, the result is "xx" without "+" or "-" sign.

Yes, because that is a numeric value not a string. It is up to you to format it as you wish.moppedhausi wrote: ↑Thu 19 Jan 2023 12:47 pm When I let CumulusMX create a file with the webtags <#presstrendval rc=y>, the result is "xx" without "+" or "-" sign.

Re: Minus sign of the change indicators not present for minus
Weird isn't it.
Q: The realtime.txt for that site does not contain a "-" so how does CUtilis know to show the down arrow?

Re: Minus sign of the change indicators not present for minus
It checks for the plus ? up : down
That's why I never noticed there was no minus, you see the red arrow down and it fills in automatically apparently.

Re: Minus sign of the change indicators not present for minus
Sorry.
Due to my mistake, I created a file under Extra Web Files, which also had the name realtimes.txt.
As a result, the original realtime.txt was repeatedly overwritten.

Re: Minus sign of the change indicators not present for minus
That is weird as well. Even though it is numeric, I would expect the resulting string to contain ate least the minus sign.mcrossley wrote: ↑Thu 19 Jan 2023 1:37 pmYes, because that is a numeric value not a string. I remember vaguely a similar issue recently was with the json value file where I believe Dador made a sign point.
