Low readings of zero after startup

Hello.

I have recently upgraded to Cumulus MX after a transmitter swap (the old one didn't survive the rapid warming after last month's cold spell) having previously used Cumulus 1 for 8 years.

The upgrade went well and I'm loving the upgraded Cumulus but I have noticed one recurring problem in the last couple of weeks:

I shut down my PC from time to time and it is usually off overnight. When I restart, Cumulus extracts the overnight data from the receiver's data logger. My data logger is set to record every 10 minutes (on my Fine Offset ws1093).

If however, I go to bed just before midnight and switch off the PC, upon restart, Cumulus seems to think that the following day's low is zero (at midnight) for the following:

Temperature
Humidity
Pressure
Apparent Temperature
Wind Chill
Dew Point
Feels Like

I can also see the zero readings in dayfile.txt.

The zero figure doesn't get recorded in my all-time high and low 'records' but it does appear in my 'this period' records and shows in my graphs (presumably as these must get their data from dayfile.txt).

I think the issue is the fact that I switch off just before midnight (probably between 11.50pm and midnight thinking about my 10-minute logging interval). It certainly doesn't seem to be an issue if I shut down after midnight.

Any ideas on how to stop this behaviour other than avoiding going to bed just before midnight? I searched the forum and found that somebody was having a similar problem in 2010 with Cumulus 1 but it never affected me until I upgraded to MX.

Am I correct to assume that I can 'fix' the zeros in the graph and in 'this period' records by editing dayfile.txt?

Many thanks,

Kroma

I'll take a look at this, but could you also create an MXdiags file with debug and data logging enabled that covers the start-up from a shutdown just before midnight. Thanks
