Remote station with local CumulusMX

As said i have a station on a remote location with internet. Its configured to send data to Ecowitt and Wunderground.
So, is there a way to get data from the station to CumuluisMX running on my network too? I know there is a option for station type
HTTP (Ecowitt) but if i open the port of the station on my network, CumulusMX webpages are open to the world, i don't want this. I saw Ecowitt Data Access API for but that's just for a history download, it doesn't get "live" data from Ecowitt.net, i thought it will.

No obvious way of doing this.
If you cannot put a rPi or such remotely, then is a VPN tunnel between them a possibility? Many routers will act as VPN servers. I use a VPN to access my home network when I'm away from home.

Sadly, I can not put rPi or similar hardware there.
I'm thinking of making some kind of python web app to forward packets

How about a reverse proxy with request filtering? I have not done it myself, but I think it would be quite trivial to run apache on your CMX host on a different port (eg 8080) and forward only the path /station/ecowitt to actual CMX port?
Edit. Also if you know the ip range of where your remote station is, you can also restrict the access with a firewall rule.

Do you have the full set of minimum data required - temp, press, wind?
If not, then you will have to enable the "No sensor check" option in: Station Settings | Common Options
