Dayfile.txt not updating
Hi folks,
Well I guess I typed too soon in an earlier post about getting things straightened out with my data. I just noticed that my Dayfile.txt hasn't updated since Dec. 25th. If anyone has a fix to try, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Bob

Re: Dayfile.txt not updating
I would like to add that yesterday.ini, month.ini, and year.ini haven't updated since the 25th as well.

Re: Dayfile.txt not updating
Thanks for the file. Unfortunately, this log does not show a rollover (the moment when an entry to dayfile is added).
While you're at it, could you switch on debug logging, let it run until after rollover time and post again? Thanks.

Re: Dayfile.txt not updating
Well, naturally, it started working again. The dayfile got updated at midnight. Have no idea why, but it did. So now my question becomes...is there a way to recover the missing data and then edit the files where it's absent?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Dayfile.txt not updating
Hans, sorry to bother you again, but the available data on my Charts page stops at Jan 1. at 08:13(local, I believe). Is there anything I can do to extend the historic data? The Dayfile.txt goes back to May 2020.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Dayfile.txt not updating
Move your start date Station Settings / General settings / Advanced Options to the earliest date in your dayfile.txt. Make sure you use the exact format displayed to you in the box and alter it to the earlier date.

Re: Dayfile.txt not updating
Thank you for the assistance, David, but unfortunately the data date remains unchanged after making the correction in the station settings. I'm using 3.22.4 b3215 if it helps. And also, for some reason the "2d" option is grayed out. The "12hr" and '24hr" options work as they should.
Thanks again.
Bob

Re: Dayfile.txt not updating
OK. It's working and that's the main thing. If it starts failing again you now know how to post the MXdiags log
To create the missing records in the dayfile you should run the tool CreateMissing.exe which you can download through the software link on the wiki. This should fill in the dayfile but it does require the standard logfiles to be up to date. After that, if you wish, you can use the log editor to modify the data.
The chart may have to do with some trouble with the month transition in this version and may be solved in the next release. If the charts restarts functioning on the third please let us know. The 2d does not work if there is not have enough data. So let's wait until the 3rd of jan is there.
