Not sure why it's so much higher than the theoretical value?

During clear days back in the summer, it would be lower than the theoretical value.

Do you have a different solar factor set for December?

Both June and December at 0.85

I have mine set to generate higher theoretical values in winter as the atmosphere is normally clearer than in summer. That is why I introduced the ability to scale across the seasons.

I've set it to 0.90 and it's bang on now.

Was it added recently? Don't remember seeing that issue before.

A year ago, in v3.14.1

If you leave them both the same, then the behaviour is exactly as it was before the change.

Well there is a thing, I changed my winter transmission factor to 0.9 and now when the sun shines the theoretical max equals the actual. I just need the sun to shine a bit more to make our house solar cells work.
The winter solstice will soon be here and things should get brighter again. :D
