Lack of Rainfall Rate

From build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Lack of Rainfall Rate

Post by hw1958 »

I have just noticed that since 9 Nov the max rainfall rate I have recorded has been 3.4 mm / hr and today despite getting 4.6 mm of rain the max rainfall rate is 0.0 which seems bizarre considering the active trough that went through early afternoon.
Is this my system or has there been a change in the recent software?

Hi,
Have you checked the rain gauge and see if there is any obstruction?

Enjoy,
Paul

I hadn't as it was still reporting rainfall totals, just not rainfall rate, so assumed it was ok. However having just checked it appears it may have been blocked or at least partially blocked enough not to produce a rainfall rate but still allow the rainfall to trickle through. Anyway have cleared it and now just waiting for some rain to check.
Thanks for suggestion

Howard
